Danika Padilla: activist

Note: this interview was recorded and first broadcast in May, 2015.  Since then, the settler-colonization witnessed by Danika Padilla has intensified so that today the 51-year old occupation has encroached deeper and wider with more human rights abolished, more Palestinian children abused, detained and killed, more olive trees uprooted, more Palestinian homes demolished and ever more Israeli settlements constructed on ever more stolen Palestinian land.

Original introduction: Danika Padilla, 18-year old homeschooled activist, recently back in the US after five months of activism in Palestine, describes what she witnessed and experienced of life under Israeli occupation. (Produced by Tony Ernst and broadcast on WPKN on May 13, 2015.)

About Leafages

"Credo" statement

Leafages by Hazel Kahan are made from real leaves, vines and tendrils interwoven with calligraphy, decorative pen and ink flourishes and imaginary Latin botanical names. Leafages contain a philosophical or inspirational thought, quotation or verse from sages, poets or religious texts. Some leafages are specially created for an individual, a couple or a family with words or leaves reflecting their personal narrative. They are available on the Leafages shop on Etsy although the supply is low right now, all my energies having been absorbed by the book I’ve been writing. Do come back soon when the shop will be full of new leafage abundance or contact me.
