Leafages update May 24: After leaving my home in Mattituck, the leafage went to Jerusalem and then to Oxford, where it stood proudly during the meeting held in the Brahma Kumaris Global Retreat Centre.
Watch this video to see how well it fits and what a beautiful background it provides for these colorful religious leaders assembling there from all over the world!
The story of this leafage: I’ve just designed this leafage for the Elijah Interfaith Institute as a gesture of friendship for Alon Goshen-Gottstein who was my father’s neighbor in Jerusalem for many years. Out paths haven’t really crossed much otherwise.
Alon and his colleagues will use this leafage as a book cover and a poster and introduce it at their meeting in Oxford in March. It includes quotations about friendship from six of the world’s faiths: Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism and Hinduism.
