Yaron Matras, Professor of Linguistics at the University of Manchester, speaks from the UK via Skype, about his book The Romani Gypsies. The interview includes a modern version of Gelem Gelem, often used as the anthem of the Romani people. It was composed by Zarko Jovanovic who personally experienced incarceration by the Nazis in WWII. (The shorter version of the interview without music will be broadcast on WPKN on August 11, 2021.)
